Big Mac Tacos

These Big Mac tacos have been one of my favorite quick high-protein meals lately. They’ve got all the flavors of a classic burger—seasoned beef, lettuce, pickles, cheese, and sauce—but in taco form and with way better macros. They’re easy to make, super filling, and perfect when you’re craving fast food but still want to stay on track.

Big Mac Tacos

This recipe is one of the easiest ways to satisfy a burger craving without feeling overly heavy afterward. Pressing the beef directly onto the tortilla gives it that crispy burger-style texture, and the homemade Big Mac-style sauce ties everything together. I also like how customizable these are depending on what you have in the fridge. They come together fast, cook in just a few minutes, and honestly feel like something you’d order from a restaurant.

Ingredients

Main

  • 1 lb 93% lean ground beef
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Diced onions
  • 5 Mission Carb Balance soft taco tortillas
  • 5 slices fat-free American cheese
  • Shredded lettuce

Big Mac Sauce

  • 170g non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp no-sugar-added ketchup
  • 1/2 tbsp reduced-fat Kewpie mayo
  • 1/4 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp dill pickle relish
  • paprika
  • garlic powder
  • black pepper

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Season the Beef
    • Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and diced onions to the lean ground beef. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Form the Tacos
    • Divide the beef into 5 even portions and press each portion thinly onto a low-carb tortilla.
  3. Cook the Beef Side
    • Place the tacos beef-side down onto a medium-hot pan. Cook for 1–2 minutes until browned and crispy.
  4. Flip and Finish Cooking
    • Flip and cook the tortilla side for another minute or so until lightly crisped.
  5. Add Cheese
    • Place a slice of cheese on each taco while still hot so it melts slightly.
  6. Make the Sauce
    • Mix together Greek yogurt, ketchup, mayo, mustard, relish, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  7. Assemble and Serve
    • Top tacos with shredded lettuce, pickles, and Big Mac sauce.
